His specialty: stage pyrotechnics. Indoor fireworks, jets of flame, sprays of sparks and explosions hold no secrets for this 35-year-old Neuchâtel native. Joran Hegi embarked on this adventure to satisfy his curiosity. He also wanted to make a name for himself in a field that is still not very widespread in French-speaking Switzerland: "It's mainly in the German-speaking part of the country that we find the most companies active in stage pyrotechnics. The products used are "cold", meaning they generate much less heat than fireworks set off outdoors. Even so, audiences are still quite surprised when an explosion or spray of sparks bursts out in the middle of a theater stage. Theater, but also opera and cinema. There are many opportunities in the field of stage pyrotechnics. Joran Hegi took part in the making of a short film by Olivier Beguin, to be discovered soon on the web.
